supersaiyan All apps from Apps repository get automatically updated according to the release channel you set.

Maybe I’m missing a big thing here, but if you don’t want a browser or internet connectivity, why not just carry a dumb phone?

Blastoidea I switched from a dumbphone to graphene, just experimenting to see but i might even go back to a dumbphone. Kinda got used to a life with a dumbphone, now the smartphone feels so bulky and fragile.

I 'uninstalled' Vanadium using adb on a secondary phone. I have it set up as a dumb phone that can only call and message with just a few messaging apps like Signal. It may not be supported, but I haven't run into any issues doing this. Granted, it's not my everyday phone so I don't really care if something on it breaks.

I've created a similar discussion, but I'd like to say I have WebView disabled and have noticed no issues so far. I suspect the biggest functionality breakage would be accessing WAPs that use captive portals for signing in. Though, without any web services on your device anyways, that might might not be critical for you.

Apps that are granted the Network permission should still work. For example, Obtainium works for keeping my apps up to date and installing other apps. System updates as well as GOS app updates work fine as well.

These are just my observations! I am not an expert. Does anyone know of insecurities that may be introduced as a result of disabling webview?

On my daughter's P6 I have disabled Vanadium. It works without any issues.

As for why not just give her a dumbphone, I did. The reason I gave Hera smartphone again was simply the ability to use emoji and graphic messeges.
