Visual Voicemail not working

Hello,

I have a Pixel 5a that is running Android 14 stable and visual voicemail does not work. It says it cannot "activate" it.

No issues with the two Pixel 6's running Android 14 stable.

All phones on mint mobile and PIN password set and required to access voicemail.

I think of what I am missing .. thoughts?

I cannot get visual voicemail to work on anything besides stock.That goes for graphene, lineage, calyx. It doesn't matter, just doesn't work. The only way I've been successful is when flashing gapps but obviously that doesn't apply here.

On my Pixel 7 with GOS, visual voicemail used to work, but it stopped working and produces a prompt saying "unable to activate" . No change in carrier. I'm not sure exactly when it stopped working, but certainly in the past 6-8 months.

r_dac Same, I definitely had VIsual Voicemail working at the beginning of the year, not transcripts but at least the ability to play messages from the Phone app.
I notice that Mint recommends My Visual Voicemail if your dialer DOESN'T have VM capability but I don't think that would apply here (couldn't activate it anyway).

5rlyn Just tried the app again. By disconnecting from ProtonVPN, I was able to activate it. We'll see if that sticks. No go on the Dialer app though (which would be my preference).

I have the same problem but Google's dial error seems to log my voicemail if it come from a business.
