And what version is it on now? It doesn't say which version it is on the website.
Is Pixel 4 planned to receive Android 14 update?

"The following devices are end-of-life, no longer receive firmware or driver security updates and receive extended support from GrapheneOS via a legacy branch based on Android 13 with only the Android Open Source Project security backports, certain other security patches and other minimal changes to keep them working"
It won't get Android 14
flighty_sloth A few months ago, it was written that we are looking for a developer to update Pixel 4 to Android 14, and when I looked at the last update, I wanted to ask if it was updated in March 2024.

kullanici32 I believe they were only considering if it made sense to port Pixel 4a 5g and pixel 5. I would be surprised if they were planning to port pixel 4, considering both of those are newer and they weren't even sure if they wanted to port them.

"Since this is a major release, the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 have not been ported to Android 14 QPR2 as part our initial release. We need to determine whether it makes sense to move these end-of-life devices to Android 14 QPR2 or keep them on a legacy extended support release branch based on the last Android 14 QPR1 release."

Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4a are end-of-life and shouldn't be used anymore due to lack of most security patches for firmware and drivers. We're currently supporting them via a legacy Android 13 branch separate from these mainline GrapheneOS releases. We're considering porting them to Android 14 to continue providing extended support longer than initially planned to keep them as a way to preview the current version of the OS.

Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4a are end-of-life and shouldn't be used anymore due to lack of most security patches for firmware and drivers. We're considering porting them to Android 14 to continue providing extended support longer than initially planned to keep them as a way to preview the current version of the OS despite them not being secure. It will be a significant effort to port them properly without lost functionality and we're looking for a new developer to fund rather than reassigning any developers from their existing work on the OS.
Pixel 4 will not receive Android 14. They're legacy extended support and are being phased out. They're insecure no matter what updates they receive, as not everything can be provided past their end-of-life date. What they do receive from GrapheneOS is a harm reduction measure to help people as they transition to supported devices.
The last device that will be receiving extended support is the Google Pixel 5a. 6th gen and up with 5 and 7 years of support since launch (7 years since launch for 8th gen +) is enough that no extended support will be required.
