Cheogram (jmp.chat) or Silent.link
I went with Cheogram and have been using it for almost a month. Customer support is excellent, they respond within a few hours. I used the website chat of Silent.link and they responded very fast as well, so I assume the customer support would be pretty similar.
Cheogram has an app and Silent.link does not. Both accept crypto and XMR. However, when you first sign up with Cheogram they didn't have a XMR option, only BTC. They had an option for an alternative payment, but I don't know what is involved with that. But you can use Cake wallet to swap BTC to XMR and transfer to a second wallet then XMR to BTC and send to Cheogram. Once you have an account with Cheogram there is an option to pay with XMR. Why they don't offer it at the start I don't know.
I just needed a number to be able to sign up with Signal. I don't use the Cheogram app for calls and texts. There are security, privacy, and anonymity concerns since the servers get some information. So I avoid all that through another messaging option. Though it does limit me to not use the number as a normal number that makes plain calls, but I am fine with that.
