I downloaded them through the "apps" program preincluded in graphenOS but when I open an app that needs it it says this device doesn't not have it

I've tried reinstalling the apps, google services and the google framework but still nothing. It also says "sandboxes google play is running" in my notifications.

I also unrestricted the battery permissions on gsf but same problem. I'm using a secondary user to use play services and I've just installed the OS.

Its a banking app and Snapchat that I'm trying to use

    Hello!

Could you please specify where you downloaded your banking app and Snapchat from?

Sandboxed Google Play needs to be installed and configured properly to work. For more information please read:
    https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play

You probably need to reinstall your banking app and Snapchat after you've installed and configured Sandboxed Google Play.

    Hope this helps

Boberto I see, yes, you should install Sandboxed Google Play and configure it before installing third-party apps that rely on Google services.

Just to add you MUST install ALL 3 packages, that is GSF, Play Services and Play Store.

Hulk so I HAVE to login to my google account? Didn't want to do that but oh well.

          Thanks for the help buddy

Boberto no you just need to tap SIGN IN to initialize them.

Signing in into a Google account is optional, unless you want to use features depending on being signed into an account. For example, some apps use Google account authentication instead of their accounts having a username and password. The Play Store requires being signed into an account in order to install apps or use in-app purchases. This is still true even for an alternate frontend to the Play Store. Aurora Store still requires an account but fetches shared account credentials from Aurora Store's service by default.

For me it worked without google store but I get a notification that Snapchat needs google play services. But tha app and notifications work fine without google play store downloaded

Tonycom But tha app and notifications work fine without google play store downloaded

Proton Mail and some other apps complain not having Google Play Store. Don't have to be logged in.

This was the issue for me
