It may be the case for the Desktop Operating System, as you have stated. However, it is important to note that even periodic updates can cause ongoing issues, and it is worth considering, the built-in app's issues, are come from GrapheneOS.

Thanks again.

AloofChocolate " However, it is important to note that even periodic updates can cause ongoing issues"

No? Even if they did, a factory reset would not help

"and it is worth considering, the built-in app's issues, are come from GrapheneOS."

What? If you are referring to application/OS bugs, I guess...factory resetting will not help

Camera issue for starters, the inbuilt camera app was working for some time, then in the last couple of months, after and update. The app itself became unresponsive, one either get a full black or white screen with three round button on the bottom. I know for a fact the hardware camera is working without fault, this seems to affect the admin account. Any user account and the native camera app works.

AloofChocolate Sounds like a bug, I suggest filing an issue on Github, however factory resetting will not help you

I assure you, this isn't standard behavior and you are not met to factory reset unless you wish to clear user data. It will not properly fix bugs

AloofChocolate Have you tried clearing the camera app's cache & storage? I don't think you need to back up your photos and videos first, though you might want to.

Yes, empty the 11 Mb storage, did a reboot, to no avail. it becomes unresponsive after a period of time, then crash. At least I have logs to unload. Do you know where to look for version number ?

AloofChocolate 'Do you know where to look for version number?', app info -> version

Current version is 66, you can also see this in 'apps'

        Why do you ask?

I was just now having the Camera and Auditor apps crash when trying to use the Camera app on its own and Auditor to set up remote verification. But I just did a restart and that fixed it for me.

TheGodfather It's not a desktop OS which gets cluttered.

Huh? You're probably referring to crap made by M$ and the fruit company.

Not much different for mutable Linux distros.

After speaking with a helpful tech on GitHub on Grapheneos, I could have performed a factory reset and start over again without any issues. However, I decided to use the app reset option under Reset Opinion, this solved the camera dilemma and caller volume issue. This was due to services that I never touch. The tech and I tried different things to figure out what was causing the problem, but we couldn't find the cause. We only had theories that helped us understand the system better.

          Hope this helps others.
