How has GrapheneOS worked out for you so far? Are there any problems you still have?

GrapheneOS The fork has major issues due to raising target API level without testing:

Recommend using a different sync platform instead.
They still seem to be running into problems with supporting Android 15, so I am worried that they may not be able to maintain the app properly in the future if they are a month behind now. Also, @GrapheneOS recommended against using it for these reasons, which is why I am looking for an alternative.
brandy078 And as a not only privacy oriented person but also an esthetic oriented person, the look of the apps on iOS is just much more beautiful as on android. I havenĀ“t found just one nice calendar app. or something that works as nice as the foto app on iOS.
You can still use the standard google apps wherever you cant find a convenient or aesthetically appealing alternative, while you get used to Android; you still get privacy benefits over iOS with google play sandboxing and other forms of hardening that come with GrapheneOS. It might help you adjust if you start by using GrapheneOS like stock android, and then transitioning to a more private and secure workflow. In the end you will enjoy better privacy and security than reverting to iOS. However, try Aves for photos, and Proton Calendar, as they work nicely, and in my opinion, they look nicer than Google Photos and Calendar.
brandy078 Also big miss for me is that i can't stream music from apple music (I do have a family subscription plan) or movies on my TV or HiFi receiver.
RiMusic from Accrescent streams music from YouTube Music.
brandy078 Things I also miss are Airdrop, iMessage (all my family uses iPhones) Apple Maps and Apple Mail. I use an iMac as well. And if good or not: The Apple ecosystem has some benefits.
With google messages, you can use RCS, which gives some of the features of iMessage back if you cannot convince people to switch to Signal, which has most of the functionality of iMessage and Facetime. Google messages may be invasive, but RCS encrypts your messages, which is an improvement over SMS/MMS.
brandy078 What i don't like are some shortcomings in the integration of apps. For example: I use bit warden as PW manager. sometimes it works automatically when using Vandium or Brave. But most of the time i have to open it manually search for the right pw, copy and paste and so on. That is just annoying.
When you start typing in a password field, you should have the option to open Bitwarden from your keyboard and choose the password after unlocking it (this works on FUTO keyboard at least), or save the password that you just entered to Bitwarden. After doing that the first time, your keyboard should now show you an option for the specific password for that website, and after clicking that, it autofills your password conveniently. You only need to login by opening Bitwarden and searching manually after the first login.
If you need help with anything else, I would be happy to help.
Hello everyone! I am trying to start using KeePass DX on my phone and KeePass XC on my computer, and I am looking for a way to sync my passwords across devices. With Syncthing being discontinued for android, how should I sync the password database, so that changes made on any device are merged together?
I am considering Proton Drive, since it seems more secure for storing passwords than trying to use google drive, dropbox, or something similar. Is this a good idea, and if so how would it work? I have not been able to find much information about setting up Proton Drive to sync KeePass databases, so I don't know if it requires any special set up for everything to work correctly.
Once I have KeePass synced, how should I back up 2FA stored in either Aegis, or a separate KeePass database without losing the benefit of 2FA? Is it fine backing up 2FA using the same method I use to back up my passwords as long as they are in separate databases?
I need the setup to be sufficient for storing sensitive data that the average person has, like bank account info, and work reliably. Thanks.
Has there been any progress on either making the Google safety app compatible with grapheneOS, or developing an alternative?
Before installing Graphene OS, I backed up my SMS/MMS and call logs using Google One, which does not let me restore my messages to the device. Is there an easier way to get my message history back than reinstalling the stock OS, restoring the messages, using a different app to export the message history, and installing Graphene OS again?
