Greetings,

I need some help.. On my PIxel 5, I by mistake uninstalled Google Play Services, as I thought this was something I've downloaded from Aurora (saw a notification to update Play Services). After I removed it I can see the whole menu under Settings ➔ Apps ➔ Sandboxed Google Play no longer exists..

Can I restore it manually by installing this an APK file or something? This was at least possible 8 month ago according to this YouTube clip/guide: https://youtu.be/lWBd74uRIi8?t=490
I Have also red the guide on https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play, but It doesn't help me as it assumes the menu is already there and all you should install it from there.

Is it better to restore from a backup? I do believe I have some on my Pixel locally. And if so, do I have to move the backup to a computer or something before the restore? Or just reboot into boot menu and reinstall with the backup on the phone just using the backup phrase?

alex Yes, it used to be there but is no more. I can only see "recently opened" and "general".

Under the latter I only see "default apps", "unused apps" and "special app access". Please see this screenshot of the App menu: https://ibb.co/RPRmgvZ

Open your app drawer. Click "Apps." Install what you uninstalled.

Moving forward, this should be the only source you receive your sandboxed google play from. The fact you don't know about it tells me it wasn't.

deign Thank you! I managed to re-install it via app drawer > Apps! And the Sandboxed Google Play menu came back again under settings > Apps. Really appreciate the help! 😀
