I know about Element X and I use it already to get to know more about it. It has not much features but it will grow and get fully loaded with features in the future. Will it replace regular Element when it has all features?

Is anonymizing of bridged messages possible? Like I deleted some messages, but info is still on the bridged platforms and replies.

DeletedUser47 not really. Replies include the content of what's being replied to. The bridge doesn't remove that when the messages that were replied to are removed.

stateofresearch It is true that Discord and Telegram are not super-secure, but what is being discussed in the GrapheneOS chat rooms is public information.

The forum and chat moderators have set up quite a few options and bridged them. I suspect adding each one is harder as the number goes up.

de0u It's not just about it being hard to bridge another platform, but additionally whether that platform is a good fit.

For example, if the platform doesn't have enough moderation/anti-abuse tools, it will just be a new vehicle for raids etc. and it wouldn't just affect users of that new platform, but the entire community due to them being bridged.

grapheine yup. Telegram is most def not safe. The guy who controls Telegrams servers works for the FSB. You can look it up. Someone did an investigation lately. I think OCCRP did. Not sure. Can’t remember

GrapheneOS GrapheneOS has 3 main official chat platforms alongside the forum. You should consider to go along with the longer and more formal nature of the forum. Each of the chat platforms is bridged so you can choose you preferred platform:

Discord server
Telegram group
Matrix space

So would GrapheneOS even consider an XMPP channel? I think it makes sense. Even if its not bridged, I think it would be a good chat platform for GOS. I personally use XMPP, and I don't really want to sign up for a different platform, so this would be great for me (and probably a lot of other XMPP users).

Could you please run a web search for site:discuss.grapheneos.org xmpp and see if this has already been discussed? I think maybe high-volume posters should also be high-volume searchers.

I'd join the Telegram group, but since telegram claims my number is banned, I can't even sign up for telegram despite never even using it before. It most likely was a previous owner of my number that got banned and not me. Even emailing them is useless. Thats why I am suggesting XMPP :)
