I was using Lyft app in a secondary user profile with Play Services. Installed from Play Store. It worked fine for about 5 months then suddenly when I tried to order a ride, it showed a brief message like "This account was suspended" or something similar and logged me out of the account. Trying to get back into the account, it says it sent SMS verification to my number but it doesn't arrive. Before I was getting Lyft notifications on that number with no issues. It's a normal phone number from a major carrier, physical SIM, not a VOIP number.
I am not sure if that even related to GOS or sandboxed play services but could they start banning accounts when detecting that non-google OS is installed or something like that?
I don't see any other obvious reason for account suspension, my reviews are great, not using VPN, haven't had any unpleasant incidents with Lyft services or its drivers.
