hello, I am trying to configure my pixel 6 under grapheneos so that it can self-destruct after several incorrect codes
Thank you ;)
Self-destruct
I do not believe the Pixel 6A, or any phone for that matter, has a 'self-destruct' option. Please clarify what you mean
raccoondad The OP means means auto-factory reset after 10 wrong pin inputs that iOS has.
To the OP, the Pixel does not do this, but with a 6 digit pin the delays that occur for not inputting a verified pin are not a brute force concern, so you do not have to worry about your phone being wiped with a factory reset. With iOS, all you need is some idiot messing with you to pick up your phone and input the incorrect pin 10 tens (assuming you turned this feature on in iOS) and everything on your phone is gone.

What you are looking for is the duress feature that's not been implemented just yet but should be coming soon. You input a specific pin/password and that wipes your phone clean.

MoonshineMidnight Oh, I don't think theres any feature like that, but there is wasted which can have it so after a certain amount of time the phone auto factory resets
As for spring-onions comment, that whole thread looks cool! I can't wait to see those features released
raccoondad iOS does have such a auto-reset feature, and it can happen the very way I mentioned...
Does this iPhone feature provide a major benefit?
State level actors and experienced hackers clone first and casual thugs can't brute force anything complex.
