Hello,

I am new to GrapheneOS, just installed it on my pixel 6A and so far I'm loving the experience. I was browsing through the Files app and I have a couple of question (I apologize beforehand if I sound like a noob).

1) Within the Android data folder I noticed a sub folder call com.shannon.qualifiednetworksservice. Any idea what this folder is for?

2) When I delete a file within the Files app, does it automatically deletes it from the phone or does it reside in a trash folder? I ask because I don't see a trash folder and was assuming it just gets deleted.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the dumb questions.

1: I dont have that folder in ./Android/data
the name of the folder is the package name of the application package that created it. You might have an app installed that has this package name. You can look through the apps manually, but i recommend installing Package Manager from F-Droid to search the package ID.

2: Yes it gets deletes. There is no recycle bin.

      machmoody Hi,

The package com.shannon.qualifiednetworksservice is needed and is part of the 'QualifiedNetworksService' system.

It is responsible for determining the appropriate access networks for data services based on the current network conditions and the requirements of different carriers. This service then communicates the information to the telephony framework of the device.

Probably not a good idea to remove that directory...
