I bought a display from amazon, the Auopa, 15inch. But with the Pixel 8 it won't mirror the screen. Any advise?
Display port is not working
Try another cable or another display, it is unlikely a GOS problem.
Thanks for your reply. But the display itself is the problem? How is that possible?

Any device can break, at any time. Shipping is a time when some devices break.
If you have tested the display with something other than the Pixel 8 (such as a laptop), and it works, then likely the display is fine. If there is no evidence that the display is fine, maybe it isn't fine.
Is the cable in question one that has previously been used to display video? Lots of cables that have the right plugs on the ends don't work well, or at all, for a specific purpose.
Overall, it would be helpful if more details were provided.

Thanks as lot for your help. The display works well with my laptop. I tried the usbc-usbc cable that came with it, I tried the charging cable, which came with the P8, and several others. No luck.
All cable work well attached to my laptop, Linux and win11... Unfortunately I do not have access to another display.

Just to confirm: the display works well when connected to your laptop via one (or more) of the same cables that you have tried with your P8? Also: when you plug other USB-C devices into your P8 they work?
MaxPower I'm stumped. Maybe wait 12 hours to see if somebody more knowledgeable has a suggestion? If not, probably ask for help on the "#grapheneos:grapheneos.org" Matrix channel (see: https://grapheneos.org/contact#community).
I have 2 hubs with hdmi. My anker hub only works when i connect it while the phone is locked and the display is on. But then usb and Ethernet dosend work. If i conect with the device unlocked its the opposite.
Hi there, just wanted to share my experiments with this. I just tried connecting my Pixel 8 to my HP USB-C Docking station that I normally use with my work laptop. USB for mouse and keyboard works without issues, but the connected display will constantly switch and flicker between showing the screen and showing just black. When I disconnect the cable the phone freezes and then reboots after a couple of seconds. I assume this has more to do with the dock than with Graphene, although I'm hoping that this will work with a wider range of docks and cables sometime in the future :)
I am using a USB C Type 3.1 cable. The P8 is USB C 3.2 certified. Maybe that is the issue
... I do not know, I am lost
Greetings,
I've read that Pixel 8 phone supports display over usb 3 via hardware, but now via software. Does GrapheneOS go around this restriction and allow it?
kvaziq Yes, DisplayPort is enabled on 8th gen Pixels on GrapheneOS.
matchboxbananasynergy Thanks for the response.
How about Pixel tablet, is it possible to connect it to a portable monitor via USB C or HDMI? Thank you

Roberto897 Currently only the Pixel 8 and 9 series of devices have hardware support for the "DisplayPort alternate mode", so you can't connect the Tablet to an external monitor and get picture. Perhaps the next generation Tablet will support it? Time will tell.
