Phone app problem in second profile

akc3n I'm sorry but in my understanding the issue described here is different than the linked upstream issue.

Here, initiating a call using BT works fine but receiving a call does not work.
The current issue seem to be introduced somewhere late last year. Everything in this regards worked fine until then. The linked issue was raised early in 2022.

Or did I missed something here?

I'm facing same issue with P7 since end of 2023 in secondary profile. Not tested in owner profile.

If I understand correctly, the other OP describes exactly your problem with Bluetooth on incoming calls:

I have pixel 6a and pixel 7 with latest Graphene and the incoming calls do not work on Bluetooth headset for the added User configuration. The owner config Bluetooth headset works well.

I can also confirm exactly this bug: In the owner profile I can accept incoming calls via Bluetooth and make outgoing calls.

In other user profiles, I can make calls via Bluetooth, but when I receive a call, I cannot accept it via Bluetooth.

My not very sexy but working workaround: Don't answer the call and call back immediately - than you can use the Bluetooth headset as desired.

Murcielago Yes, the other forum thread is about the same issue as well. In both threads it was mentioned that below AOSP issue would be the root cause:

In my understanding this AOSP issue is different. It's not specifically about receiving calls and it's ways older than the current problem exists.

I'm not saying the current problem is caused by GOS, most likely it's upstream as well. But considering this as a duplicate may be misleading.

I'm happy to provide further information to track down the issue if necessary.

So when I told people I would switch from iOS to grapheneOS / android they asked me if I still would able to answer their calls. Seems they were right in the fact that I cannot.

I think few 'normal' Android users are using profiles, but for Graphene it is essential. Good practice even dictates that you should not use the owner profile day to day. That makes this a very annoying issue.

It isn't "essential" to use secondary profiles, and there are plenty of people who use the owner profile based on what I've read here and in the chat rooms/channels. Using profiles is completely optional.

Ok, maybe you are right. Anyway the problem is very annoying in case multiple profiles are used. I suppose we agree on that :).
