Hi!
From where should I grab the official camera APK for the 6a running GrapheneOS?
The Google Camera Ports website has always been an incomprehensible a mess to me. Also, as I'm using a Pixel device, shouldn't I just use the 6a camera app that came with stock Android? I didn't grab the stock APK before installing GrapheneOS though...

mikael changed the title to What GCam for Pixel 6a? .

Should have RTFM. I installed Google Camera via Play. Minor inconvenience: I doesn't open the default gallery app when I tap the thumbnail of the latest picture (shown in the lower left corner). Instead it prompts me to install Photos via Play. This did not happen degoogled Lineage using GCam. It opened Simple Gallery Pro.

mikael You can fix this. Someone made a small app that can fix this. Gcam Services Provider. With that installed, it'll allow you to have see your photos by taping on the thumbnail in Google Camera's app.

If you don't plan on using Google Photos, I suggest you pick the "Photos version", as it'll give you more option in the photo viewer instead of just being able to view your photos. Keep in mind that this one fakes Google Photos presence, so with it installed, you won't be able to install Google Photos if you ever want it, as it has powerful editing functions, you'll have to uninstall it first. :)

      I don't, thanks. 👍

"Basic" includes everything you need to get Gcam running but the button showing the last taken photo in full size will not work.

Gotta wonder what basic is actually for, because Google Camera seems to work fine without Gcam Services Provider Basic version.

Gcam Services Provider is not needed on GrapheneOS. GrapheneOS makes it so that dependency for Pixel Camera is not required via a patch in the OS.

[deleted] Which part didn't work for you? Pixel Camera without and Google Services Framework? You may have tried it before the patch was added to the OS, in that case. Please refer to the following changelog:

add generic compatibility shim catching the exception from the Gservices provider being missing to enable apps like Google Camera and the Pixel eSIM firmware app (Google eSIM activation app is separate) to work without GSF installed since they don't have any actual hard dependency on either GSF or Play services
