Hello, I just bought a Pixel 6a, and I plan on installing GrapheneOS, use two profiles, one with sandboxed apps connected to my google account, the other degoogled. There's an app called Pocket Operator by Teenage Engineering that's exclusive to Pixels. I've added it to my account, I was just wondering if it'll work if I try to install it from the app store, or do I need to extract the APK before switching OSes.
I've been using LineageOS on an LG G4 so far.
Thank you

obsin It didn't work on my Pixel 6a running the latest Graphene beta on my Google Sandbox profile. Wotked ok on my Pixel 5 running Android 13.

Kryptos aww, that sucks. Were you just not able to launch it, or it wouldn't install/authenticate?

Kryptos obsin did the app fail to work even with exec spawning and/or exploit compatibility mode toggled off/on respectively?

obsin It installs but wouldn't advance past the splash screen. Also tried exploit compatibility mode but it didn't work.

I didn't see a switch for exec spawning in the app's "App Info" section. Where might I find it, @MetropleX?

Kryptos you can find it in the following location SETTINGS>SECURITY just be aware this toggle is not per app but system wide. Also have you installed the latest Play Services Suite updates in the Alpha/Beta channels for them in the 'Apps' app?

MetropleX Thanks for the tip. To be sure, I just uninstalled the Google Play trio in both of my profiles and reinstalled by adding Google Play in the GOS Apps app.

I adjusted the settings again but Pocket Operator wouldn't advance past the splash screen. Perhaps it requires some additional Play Services permissions but I didn't test further. For the record, it's listed as Pixel only.

@MetropleX @Kryptos for what it's worth, it works fine here. It's a fresh install, I created a second profile where I installed the 3 Google services, and installed from the Google Play Store, and it seems to work fine.
