I’m looking to purchase a new pixel device for GrapheneOS and found a really good deal on an unlocked 4a. My question is - are there any considerable security features or hardware I would be missing by going with the 4a instead of the newer 6a? I’m coming from iOS so not ready to drop a huge chunk of change on a device until I’m 100% sure I can daily it with no issues. I understand Google has moved away from QC chips since the 4a. Is this something to consider in terms of device integrity or should I be good with any supported device? Thanks!
Pixel 4a vs 6a security

Unless you're just looking to drop 150 dollars to demo GOS (which sounds like you aren't), 4a is a pretty bad deal since it's EOL in less than a year. Pixel 6a is currently the best deal you can get with five years of security updates, almost irrespective of its substantial security improvements over 4a.
Unless price is an absolute deal breaker... It doesn't make sense to buy anything other than 6gen now...
