Does anyone recommend a good app for editing screenshots right from the popup? Preferably open source and good looking. And of course it must support sharing the edited screenshot right there.

I'd like something more like the stock Markup app...
Right now I'm just using Google Photos with revoked network access, but unfortunately every time I want to share an image I have to manually find it in the gallery after editing.

I just use Google's Markup app, downloaded from APKMirror: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/markup/

It doesn't require Internet and generally doesn't seem to be very privacy-invasive, if you're worried about that. I haven't run into any major quirks using it on GrapheneOS. I have the Sensors permission disabled for it (the only permission it asks for) and it works just fine.

This app can be downloaded from GOS's Apps.
How to open this Markup app ?
What about metadata ?

Just hit an edit button on a photo and you'll be prompted to open the markup app.

Are you asking if it'll add metadata? I don't think there's any metadata for it to get from screenshots or photos taken with the GrapheneOS camera app.

Yes, most apps add some saving files.

In my case the only way to open the app is through the camera app.
It work, I can save the picture but I get "An unexpected error occurred after editing" when I press the save button.

I don't know the answer to this one. Shouldn't be too hard to check, though.

yes, that's a known issue. The GrapheneOS camera app shares the file with the markup app, but apparently it only gives access to read the file, not to modify it.
