When I setup my P6P on GOS I opted to use the sim card as I wanted use google fi in my work profile (privrleged esim only works in owner profile)

Now that I moved google fi to my owner profile I am thinking to use the esim.

Any pros or cons to esim vs sim card?

Assuming all i have to do is remove my sim card and re-setup google fi on esim?

lcalamar Have you got or desire to have Google Play Services in the owner profile? You will need to, to activate eSIM as it is a system level privileged app. It will expose your IMEI to Google as part of the process too. However being a Fi user probably means this is less of a concern for you.

MetropleX yes, i ended up with play services in my owner profile and I activated privileged esim.

I am not married to esim or sim card. Just asking the pros and cons of each... (Assuming play services is installed in my owner profile)

MetropleX I do follow what you are saying regarding Google FI.... its a bit of a 'turn your head and cough' relationship. Unfortunately - for me - I just don't find a better solution for travel (int'l) than FI, certainly not at their pricing.

That said - I'm not really that sure they are overall any worse than Verizon! Though I'm open to listening.

In my experience, eSim eats more battery.
