Mangosmiley159 I just had another person try this in the Matrix room and it worked for them as well.

When you try to do a screen recording, you'll get a prompt. You have to select "device audio" AND toggle that option on, otherwise it won't work.

Doesn't seem to be a GrapheneOS related issue.

Thanks for the reply's - I'm definitely toggling on the internal audio but still no sound in the final video. My fingerprint scanner is also not working. So maybe it is a problem specific to my phone... :(
I may try a factory reset and see if that works.

I factory reset but the problem still exists. There is also no option at all to set up my fingerprint scanner which is weird... Anyone know if graphene causes fingerprint scanner issues ? Thanks

Mangosmiley159 Fingerprints work fine. Are you trying to enroll them in the Owner profile, or a secondary profile?

It's probably best to open a new thread about this though, in the interest of keeping each discussion focused on a specific thing.

If this is an option for you, I'd flash Stock OS on your device and try the screen recording to see if it works. If it doesn't, we can safely assume it's something with your hardware. If it works, we can look further into it.

I have tried messing again. I got it to work slightly - when I go into settings and change the volume of media it records the notification sound I get at differing volumes. But it won't record other noises in settings such as changing my ringtone and won't record audio for apps.

So it does work but only in very specific cases - does this mean I somehow need to allow it to record audio of certain apps (I can't find any settings about this though). Cheers

Mangosmiley159 Thanks for the update! I just tried this again.

Screen recording plays audio from NewPipe, but doesn't play sound when I go to change my ringtone.

I'm unsure whether this is expected or not. Have you tried it on Stock OS?

EDIT: I also trying adjusting the volume of different things in settings, and I could only hear the "Media Volume" slider as I adjusted it. None of the others.

No I havnt tried on stock OS. I'm specifically trying to screen record (and audio) an app called mixcloud if that helps at all. Thanks for your help.
Maybe I should try flash stock OS at this rate and see if both problems persist.

Mangosmiley159 I tried to install Mixcloud to test it out, but it requires an account to proceed, sadly. I know NewPipe works for sure on my end, so if you have that installed, give it a whirl and let me know.

If not, try other apps and let me know if they work at all.

              Mangosmiley159 The plot thickens. :)

At this point, I'd suggest installing Stock OS and seeing if that's different and let us know. If it does, it might be an AOSP/GrapheneOS bug that would need to be looked into.

I am using apical 4a and recording internal audio works Fine's I am also using the ScreenCam app you may find on F-Droid.
