bwarden Hello, I'm new to this forum but I'll be moving 2 of my phones to GrapheneOS. I love the project, I love the vision. My question is, I need Slack for work. Is there a way to run it on Graphene? Any input will be highly appreciated! Thanks!
bwarden bayesian Thanks for the reply! I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I guess you mean you're using Insular or Shelter? What exactly is a custom work profile, is this a GrapheneOS feature? Thanks!
lberrymage bwarden Work profiles are a standard Android feature, but you need an MDM app to create one. The OS doesn't include such an app. For what it's worth you don't need to do anything special to run Slack (except probably install sandboxed Google Play as per https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play-installation).
c57 Slack works well for me even without google sandbox. The only difference is that without the sandbox you won't get notifications. (With google sandbox it should be a completely normal experience - notifications and all).
alex_herrero I run it too in my main profile, without notifications as already stated. But runs without errors. Latest Graphene beta AND Slack version from Aurora.
bwarden Thanks for all of the replies! I'll come back to this thread when I install Graphene and will tinker with these options. Thanks a ton, I appreciate each one of you
