  • Temp Google play Store Account for Multiple Phones

Hi All... I am helping TWO other friends flash GOS and set up their new Pixels. I always use Aurora Store which obviously isn't currently working, so my question is if I set up a temp Google account with a phone number to verify it, can I then use it on more than one new phone... ???
Thx, VAULT

VAULT Yes same Google account will work on multiple phones.

Google will know the apps you install on each phone.

DeletedUser115 Thx for your comments. I didn't know if Google would kill it as soon as I used it on the 2nd phone, so good to know it should work. Also Thought about the apps exposure to each phone, but not a problem in this case.

If I set up a temp Google Store Account (verified with a burner phone number) is it ok to login to Aurora Store, or would it get band quickly by Google... ? And would logging into Aurora rather than the Sandboxed Google Play Store have any benefit still ?

      Thanks
      VAULT

VAULT There is a high chance that Google account will get banned if used with Aurora.

Sandboxed Play Store is the most secure way to install apps.

People who prefer not use Sandboxed Play Store (and Play Services) are usually concerned that most mainstream apps have built-in functionality to communicate with Play Services over IPC which means there is a possibility that Google will be able to collect more data.

If you install Play Store in the Owner profile and use a secondary user profile as a "main" daily driver profile where most of your apps are, they won't be able to communicate with Play Services in the Owner profile. You can install apps from Play Store to the Owner profile first and then copy them to other profile(s). Updating apps in the Owner via Play Store will also update apps in all other profiles automatically.

DeletedUser115 So would you recommend using PS over Aurora? Still trying to figure out the pros and cons of both variants. How can I copy apps between profiles? Thx Buck

I think the issue with the aurora store temp accounts is that they were basically being used by THOUSANDS of people. If you're just using your own temp account on a few devices, it should be fine.

csis01 People within the community have had their throwaway Google accounts banned after using Aurora Store, though it hasn't happened to everyone doing it.

If you're going to be using a Google account you made with it, I would highly recommend making a throwaway one that you're totally okay with it being banned at any time.

Buck I'd recommend using Sandboxed Play Store in the Owner profile and copy apps from there to user profiles (unless someone has a very specific threat model).

To copy apps from from the Owner profile go to Settings > System > Multiple Users > profile_name > Install available apps.
