Hi all,

I've deleted all of my online accounts that were not privacy-respecting, except facebook. They locked me out of the account as soon as I logged in for 'suspicious activity'. I haven't used the account in like 10 years. They will only give me access again if I provide ID such as a passport. They don't care that I have the correct username, password and access to the email address associated with the account.

There is no chance I am giving them real documents. Has anyone successfully bypassed this? From what I can tell they have a sophisticated system for detecting fake IDs. Is there any hope?

Dr-M no I don't believe so, the contact us system they have in place is also a bit of a circle jerk linking back to the same page eventually or dead ending with no facility to.

Similar thing happened to me when I tried to login to my old YT account to delete it. The audacity to not let me login despite the right username/password unless I give them a phone number... I wonder if that's even legal...

DesktopCloneLanguage if you still want to delete your account, there are sites out there that can provide you with disposable numbers for a low price like $0.30 which you can use to verify and then remove before deleting your account.

RandomUser I tried free disposable numbers/emails services before and it's always a hassle. The big sites usually don't accept them. Maybe the paid ones are better, but then I would have to give them my information as well.

You need to just give them your ID. You should avoid using VoIP numbers as they will probably detect it as fraud.
