Auto Wifi is turning off (great) but not ON again

I have location services enabled, turn-on wifi automatically enabled and auto-connect for the preferred network enabled. What could go wrong?

I think that the auto-connect feature only work if the Wi-Fi is enabled. The Wi-Fi timeout disable it.

Anyone? It's a real strange thing, like the functionality is just not working.

Just went for a run (location on), came back, WiFi is off (great), but doesn't turn on as soon as I am in the house. I have to turn it on by myself. I set our home wifi to auto-connect, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Any suggestions?

@matchboxbananasynergy thanks. So it doesn't work for anyone? Kind of confusing for the option to still be available right? Or am I not understanding it correctly?
