  • OS uses Microphone of phone instead of Headphones

Recently, I bought bluetooth headphones, Redmi Buds 3 Pro. I can't use them to record sound or make phone calls because the apps don't use the microphone of the headphones.

According to this review (as online proof for the reader) https://www.techadvisor.com/article/722813/xiaomi-redmi-buds-3-pro-review.html the headphones do have microphones.

There's an app called mi buds m8 with which you can control them but there's no difference. I also tested it with another set of headphones, jlab jbuds, with which it doesn't work either.

Is this a bug in grapheneos or aosp? How can I proceed from here?

mobos One idea: If you open the Bluetooth device options in Settings, do you have the option to enable 'Input device'?

    Same for "normal" calls.
All relevant permissions are given to those apps. Tested apps are "audio recorder", "record you", "signal", "phone", "schildichat".

@vvf69107 how would I go about this? I tested it with two devices in order to rule out device failure.

I just confirmed the same behavior with a fresh user profile by recording a video such that there's no interferance with an already installed app on my device.

      mobos that's what i meant.
usually you can swap between bluetooth audio, speaker etc. is this shown correctly?
