Hello everybody,

I want to use two eSIM profiles simultaneously, instead of 1 Nano-SIM and 1 eSIM.
But that isn't possible with the stable version of Android.
You can read about that topic since October 2022.
Bottom line: beta version only, coming for regular Android 13 in March 2023.

But I couldn't find any press release or GrapheneOS release notes etc. which says:
“Great news – now it's time for Dual eSIM with Android 13 (stable)” or something like that.

Are there problems with development which delays the official release?

Or is there anyone with no beta but really stable Android 13 version who uses Dual eSIM w/o issues?

Now I am using my Pixel 7 Pro with one Nano-SIM and one eSIM, but I would like to be able to use dual eSIM with the Pixel 8 Pro in October 2023 at the latest.

    But it's not true!
It is simply not true that this should be possible since Android 11 and it is still not true that it works from Android 13.
Real reports from people who can use it I have only found from journalists using a beta version of Android 13 or even Android 14!
No human with an official stable version of Android 13 has ever written on the internet that he/she can use Dual eSIM.

That's why you can't find any official news about it. No serious press release either.

      Update of my experience:
Today I received my new Pixel 8 Pro.
Have tested it first with stock rom Android 14 and tried to setup two eSIMs for parallel use …
Conclusion: it was easy to do, no error message like before with my Pixel 7 Pro under GrapheneOS, but …

After flashing GrapheneOS the eSIM at #1 was no longer available!
Only the eSIM installed first was visible at #2!

Then I have installed sandboxed Google Play services to enable privileged eSIM management,
after a reboot there are both eSIMs again with the names I had given them under stock Android 14. :-)
But I was afraid what will happen, when I disable privileged eSIM management again…
Because I want to use this Pixel 8 Pro without Google Framework Services…
Have tried it, because it is a fresh installation of GrapheneOS, nothing of my stuff installed yet, so it wouldn't be much waste of time, if it doesn't work as expected…

Conclusion: Both eSIMs are still visible with the names I have given them and are fully usable, without any privileged eSIM management and without Google Services. :)

      P. S.: So there's something wrong with my Pixel 7 Pro or maybe there's a series that simply can't do dual eSIM yet? Very mysterious, but the main thing is that my new main device can. :-)
