System Update Paused Install

Hi,

I got a system update pushed to my Pixel 6, about 2-3 days ago. It was in the process of installing, but for the past couple of days, it is frozen at about 60-70% completion. Is there a way to reset the install process? I have tried to reboot my phone, but that did not solve the issue.

I did not see this question in the forum history, so I hope it is not a duplicate.

de0u The installation progress is still as it was prior to the reboot.

Harisfromcyber It shouldn't be getting stuck like that. You might need to sideload the latest release. Instructions are given here:

Harisfromcyber Sideloading will retain your user data so is preferred to flashing in your situation.

If you encounter any problems during sideloading, come to the GrapheneOS main room on Matrix and we can help you out.

treequell Hey, so the worst thing I expected happened. I used a Mac M1 (Ventura) with a brew install of adb. I ran into an issue when I sideloaded the update. So I tried again. The second time, it installed, but after the install something got corrupted. When I got out of the sideload screen and rebooted, it was just stuck on a Google screen forever. After a while, I was able to get the device to a state where I can reflash stock OS on it. I then reflashed graphene and am now am starting off clean again. I appreciate the advice about the sideloading, I think the issue just happened with my lack of technical knowledge.
