Since the latest release (2023050500), my SIMs would act up rarely on my phone.
Visually speaking, I'd see that I have no service on both my SIMs at random times, and putting the phone on flight mode for a while and turning it off doesn't solve the problem at all. Trying to disable and re-enable the SIMs from their settings doesn't work at all, the toggle becomes unresponsive.
Restarting my phone solves these problems, and the SIMs become inactive due to my past attempt to disable them. I can enable them back and everything works fine.
This already happened to me twice. Is there anything I can do about this?

somerandomdude changed the title to Issue with SIMs. Random persistent "No service" message .

somerandomdude have a 6a in a similar situation here in that this keeps happening to me as well with a single phys SIM although sometimes it seems to help to toggle airplane mode. Also, sometimes it helps to bump WiFi on to prime the pump w/ some non-cell data service, then the cellular data/voice is good again. Not always, though, and I often have to power cycle as you mentioned. Are you running a VPN out of curiosity? Think I saw somewhere, for my phone at least, that that may be correlated. Would be interested in hearing what you find.

treequell I don't know if taking it out and giving it a bit of a clean would change anything on this, but I did it anyway.
johnthelearner nope, I don't have any VPN running on my side.
Also, I have noticed some people have the same issue on stock OS. They say it may be an upstream issue, and Google is aware of it.
Interestingly, it no longer happened tonight, no more sudden no service messages. I'll see what happens in the future.

That is interesting! If you have links handy I suspect there are people here to click on them!

When this happened to me (Pixel 6) I just opened the SIM tray, popped out the SIM, then put everything back together.

        It didn’t happen again.
