  • Google Play Services with Security Key not working since update

Hello!

Since the last update I have a Google Play Services notification that says Account action required. It says I was logged out and they need to verify it's me. I enter my password fine but then it says complete sign-in using your security key it's greyed out and doesn't respond to the key connected to the USB port or with NFC.

I have a couple yubikeys and advanced protection program setup with my google account. I tried with more than one key. I can still login to the account in vanadium with a key. Google play services has network and storage scopes enabled without any files selected. Google play store has network.

Has anyone else had this issue? Should I disable google APP for now?

Hi @muhomorr

In a browser I tried twice to deactivate APP, remove the keys, reactivate APP, and add the keys again. The issue persists. I saw another post after the linked one where the person had to generate a recovery code to make it work but I couldn't find a way to do this. I followed steps on Google's support page to try to generate a code but I didn't see an option to do so. Is there something else I can try?
