Worried to buy ANY pixel right now

I am ready for a new phone (6+), but I am hesitant to buy ANY of the current pixel line.

Pixel 6/pro/6a: Heard they have bad reception issues.
Pixel 7/pro: Heard the camera glass can spontaneously shatter and abysmal battery life.

Are these things overblown? I am kind of tempted to wait for the 7a but I need a new phone sooner than that!

I use a Pixel 6, and used a Pixel 3a before that. Both were rock solid for me, and I haven't had any issues with them.

The fingerprint on the 6 was spotty when I first got it, but it improved substantially with firmware updates. Battery is good, but could be great. I assume this is because of the modem not being as efficient as it should be, but I still get 2 to 2.5 days of battery life easy.

One piece of advice would be to be skeptical when you only read negative reviews online. Think about it: I'm a happy user of the Pixel 6, I don't care about going around telling everyone how good my phone is. It's the people who are facing issues that will take to the Internet to complain. That makes it so the only things you'll see about it are the negative ones most of the time, not the silent majority who are just using and enjoying their devices.

I have a Pixel 6a which I wish were as small as the 3a it replaces. On the other hand, it's a lot faster. Overall, it works fine for me so far (3 months).

I have direct experience with Pixels Pixel 2, 5, 5a (Other Half’s phone), 6, and 7 Pro.

Everything depends on your expectations, which only you know.

For many, any expenditure will involve carping criticism of the product purchased, due the the idea that “I spent all this money, and I am therefor entitled to …… “

Life doesn’t always work that way. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I've broken the glass screen protector on my P7 multiple times since getting it, camera glass is still fine.

I am the happy owner of a 6a. My expectations are quite basic, but I am very satisfied. The fingerprint senior could work better, but that hardly matters to me.

I have a Pixel 7 and the battery seems really fine (₃₀% battery consumption in a day). It's true however that I have a grand total of 50 apps installed and I don't use it that often, mainly streaming music and podcasts (Bluetooth earbuds) and texting. I have GmsCompat and Syncthing running in the background .

When we complain about the battery, its only in relation to its 4500 mA size that we object. We expect more screen time based on previous phones. However in comparison to other current phones in terms on runtime its a normal phone.

You can also buy the 6a now for a good price, when the 8 series comes out maybe you can sell your 6a and get some of your money back and put it towards a new 8 series.
