Hi.

After installing an update and rebooting, special permissions like "Display over other apps" and "Install unknown apps" gets reset.
Apps with "restricted" battery optimization also get reset.

I'm using the Pixel 6. Does anyone have a similar issue?

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same problem on my Pixel 6.

Just came to post this up and found this post. This happened to me after update as well at least a few days ago. Pixel 6 as well.

It's also happening to me on Pixel 5.
Not sure yet if it's after a reboot, updates or both, but battery restrictions that I have on Restricted, are going back to Optimized sometimes.

Thanks everyone for replying. Seems like there isn't a solution right now but it's nice to know I'm not the only one having this issue.

Never had an issue until recent update. Now everytime I reboot my phone( has happened 3 consecutive times now) I have to reenable fdroid and google play store to install apps and all permissions settings are reset. Again I've been running grapheneos on this phone since February and never had this happen. I also wanna thank you guys for all the work in grapheneos and I love it. This is just something that makes the phone unusable for me unfortunately no matter how much I love it. I need to be able to reboot and I customize almost every installed and system apps permissions.

    a month later

Standardwaste I wouldn't get your hopes up. It's seemingly at random. I've gone 6+ reboots without it happening and suddenly have it happen twice in a row.

    12 days later

It happens to me quite often, Did not check yet, but after every reboot it seems, on some apps...

      Orphee OK,

By the way, I can confirm, after each reboot, DS File (Synology application) request special permission to access all files when I want to download something from the NAS to the SDCard.

So actually, it does not happen at every reboot, I did a reboot now, and DSFile did not request special permission this time...
I did not find yet a way to reproduce the bug everytime.
