  • Few things hold me back. Please suggest.

Hi everyone,
My phone is Pixel 5a 5G. GrapheneOS looks like right thing to do for me. But before I take this route I would like to find answers on few questions which are important to me. If you have answers - please chime in. Honestly I checked the FAQ and did some search , looked through this forum but unfortunately not much answers.

  1. My stock OS has very useful feature which protects me from spam and scam calls, manages black lists, etc. In fact it works so well, that 99.9% of this junk was gone in a month since I started using Pixel 5a (my 1st google phone)
QUESTIONS: Is there similar software or built-in functionality within GrapheneOS? How can I transfer my black list?

  2. How can I transfer my contacts (they are managed by Google Cloud, right?) ?

  3. How can I transfer my SMS chat content?

Thanks in advance.

    You

    2. Every contacts app I've used has a way to export your contacts to a .vcf file, or import in from one. That may be what you want. Check your app's settings.
    3. Same thing here. I use QKSMS, and it has a section in the side bar to export them. But this one may be less standardized and intercompatible than the contacts. Other than that, I don't have a solid answer for this one. Sorry.

I would just add that you can use all Google apps even with Graphene OS, so you can install that Google dialer that filter spam calls if you are used to it.

    1. u can like use the google dialer if u want and it can be set as the default app for spam & caller id 💅
    2. u can use google contacts as well it works too 😌
    3. idk ☠️💀💀☠️💀☠️
