I keep getting emails/notifications saying the audit was missed/failed.

Notification:

Remote verification failure
Failed to submit remote attestation.
java.security.GeneralSecurityException: invalid number of Auditor app signatures

I'm not quite sure what this is referring to, or how I can resolve this properly.

Restart your phone and see if it continues to show up. Apparently there's a known thing that causes there to be multiple signatures when there shouldn't be and a restart helps.

Dubz I've been seeing this too in the past week. I tried deleting the pairing and re-pairing but on the next boot the problem reappears. Pixel 6

The phone you're seeing this on is running GrapheneOS, right? You haven't rooted your phone or kept your bootloader unlocked have you?

Maybe also try going in to the app's settings and clear the app's storage.

Based on what the lead dev said on Matrix and what I understand of the code, this kind of error shouldn't happen unless it's the multiple signatures thing that restarting fixes. The alternative is something is wrong with the app somehow.

Is there any way to manually trigger the verification? Right now it seems I just have to wait and hope it works. No real way to troubleshoot or find what might be a blocker.

The only way I know is to clear everything out and try again.

In auditor app: tap 3 dots in upper right-hand corner > disable remote verification

        On https://attestation.app/#: click delete device

Then re-enable remote verification. After scanning the QR code the data should show up on the website. If that works, then the DNS lookup is working.

Seems like a reboot fixed the issue. I'll have to keep it in mind going forward and just reboot if it happens again.
