Does it mean we get an app-installation-block setting that was missing from Private Space when managing users from Owner? Really happy if that's true! Would be cool to have app-pushing capabilities from the owner as well!

Tandara It means blocking installing apps for a secondary users will also block it for a Private Space in that user.

RDM950 You have to change your update channel in the same menu as checking for update. Its in alpha still

I noticed that the initial boot took noticably longer after the update. My phone spent about a minute with just a blank black screen between the GrapheneOS logo boot phase, and the BFU lock screen.

The "finishing system update" notification also took significantly longer to disappear after I first unlocked my private space than it usually does.

GrapheneOS Thank you so much!! Are there any plans to implement app pushing from owner to Ps in other profiles? Since they are fully-feaured profiles, it would make sense to add them to user management controls on owner settings.

If this solves the stuck-on-blank-page-bug – which in my brief testing it seems to do! – the QoL gains are HUGE!

Hello,

Just updated Pixel 9 Pro to 2026042100 and when phone restarted with new OS, all Vanadium PWA apps on desktop were deleted. Can I return them somehow or I need to visite every single webpage and make PWA again?

Also, as far as I can tell, two bugs that are most noticable to me are still active:

Private space cannot reuse fingerprint auth from main space.
New apps or PWA aren't added to desktop right away. Sometimes they are added days, weeks or months after I installed them. Not sure what triggers it.

Can confirm that all my work profile PWAs are gone again since the last around 5 updates.

I have a huge battery drain since that update today in the morning. I took my phone around 8am away from loading, did the update, 2 reboots were prompted, 1,5h later battery was at 80%, now 10,5 hours later it's at 54%, after very moderate usage.
Yesterday I took the phone away from loading at the same time and went to bed around 11:30pm with 84%, same moderate usage.
I can't find out what's sucking the battery dry today, battery stats seem to be very invalid, but mobile network is on top again.
I'm using GrapheneOS for nearly one month now and at this moment I'm very disappointed, battery problems on and on, with every update I'm afraid of that something gets wrong.

I countered my battery drain issue, by disabling vanadium and other GrapheneOS apps that I don't require.
I have only three, third party apps installed, they have their own access to the internet, and don't need vanadium.
My battery longevity on an 8a is two, almost three days. Whereas with Vanadium its just about a day.
All remaining apps have been assessed for background data and background battery usage. If I feel its not required both are turned off.
The encrypted messaging and encrypted email apps pick up messages as they should, via Orbot.
Pixel batteries are hit and miss, I'm lucky I have a good one, so far.
Hopefully Motorola batteries powering GrapheneOS will show up how bad Pixel batteries are.

Kamika242 Battery drain due to mobile network is currently a very common issue on stock OS as of March 2026. This is relevant, because we use the same modem binaries, etc. as stock OS. We don't have access to that code, so it's up to Google, the vendor, etc. to fix the issue in their code:

I did this a few days ago and also a factory reset later, it can't be a continous solution to fix always returning battery problems possibly caused by the mobile network due to a probably faulty OS. I never had to do this on any other device before!

System => Device diagnostics => Component Health

P.S.
it also could be caused by antenna changes of your mobile provider ..., e.g. phone needs more energy to reach them
or try LTE only (if not already active)

Battery behaves here so it seems not to be a common problem. Maybe installed apps? Edit: Molly, VPN, ntfy ... to name a few.

Battery status is 100% excellent.

It is, with VoWIFI and VoLTE enabled, 2G is deactivated.
