Signal don't show call in lock screen

Hi. I don't know what's happening. I thing before it worked.
When someone call me while phone is locked, the fullscreen call notification shows as expected. I can pick up or hang the call. When I press the green pick up button, call is connected and signal screen is disappeared. I have to unlock when I want to enable speaker for hands-free. Is that normal? Thank you

What is normal depends on your point of view. For me it behaves the same since recently. It used to be different but I can use Signal. I preferred the way it was before.

In car I have phone faced towards my view next to stearing wheel to be maximum accessible and time to time when I have Signal call, it's useless now to pick up the call because I can't hear other side not having the loud speaker button accessible on lock screen. Unlocking screen is very inconvenient during driving. Bluetooth hands free is not an option. I have to either stop the car somewhere to call back, or pick up Signal call and tell other side to call me through carrier, without hearing other side. I also has to tell that I'm unable to hang the line. It's bad. It may be something that Signal did, or GOS? If GOS, I would like to know why is that.

I would like to know if someone don't have this issue and which version of GOS and Signal is running. Thanks.

I experienced in the past that recording a voice message occasionally turned off the display too, which made me press the power button, which locked the phone.
Which sounds similar to the display disappearing when answering voice calls. Wonder if its connected

I found that this is GOS fault. Signal is fine. I have two phones with GOS.
v2026030700, after picked up the call, call is on, but I have to unlock screen in order to see video call, or end the call, or anything else.
v2026021200, the Signal don't disappear after call picked up. Works as expected.

Vexinor the referenced SignalApp GitHub issue indicates that some Samsung devices are affected, too.

It is also worth noting that the two GOS versions you mention cross a monthly patch so it could be an upstream Android change introduced in the March release. Unfortunately, the GitHub poster that mentioned their Samsung devices didn't mention patch levels.

It is a Signal problem. When I receive a video call with Threema I pick up the call and see the video directly. With Whatsapp I have to unlock first in order to pick the phone. Signal allows picking up but needs unlocking to show video. One more argument for Threema :-)

schweizer Threema has various security issues and isn't free. So, no, it isn't worth recommending to most people. Also, it's off topic. But, it is good to know about the behavior of WhatsApp and Threema, as that probably provides some context regarding specific app setups and what is/isn't broken at the OS level.
