As of about a week ago signal calls no longer show up as a voip call notification on the lock screen. They seem to just be a regular notification now that requires unlocking the phone to interact with it. So when someone calls me I have to unlock the phone to answer the call. They used to show up as calls as if someone was calling me on my regular phone number so I could answer by just pressing the answer button.

Everything is at the current latest version. I've sent an email to signal support but have not heard anything back, and the lack of other reports of this problem lead me to believe it could be GrapheneOS only.

I have "Allow full-screen notifications" enabled for signal. Sensitive notifications is off. Notifications on lock screen is set to "Hide silent conversations and notifications". And "Enhanced notifications" is on. I've tried toggling all of these things to various other options but none of that made any difference other than to change the visible content of the signal call notification, but it didn't restore the full screen notification, or make it so I could answer the call without unlocking.

Some other interesting things I noticed. A couple months ago I started occasionally seeing the pin-unlock screen when someone called me on signal but I could use the "back" gesture from the edge of the screen to make it go away and then the full screen notification was visible. It only happened sometimes.

Now however I don't see the unlock dialog, only an obfuscated regular "signal" notification that looks more like an email or text message notification.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm on a pixel 7 and running the stable release of both GrapheneOS and Signal.

Same issue here with a 7a on stable release and actual Signal 7.32.2

I couldn't reproduce this before updating to 7.32.2, now I experience this issue

Finally a fix, I've been having this issue for months now.
Today is finally solved. So the issue was upstream, not with gos.
