Signal vanishes after I answer a call when device is locked

On both a pixel 7 and pixel 9 when a receive a Signal call I can answer the call without unlocking the phone but then the ongoing call is not displayed over the lock screen after that point. I can hear the person but can't see them if it's a video call. All I see is the lock screen until I unlock the phone, and then I can see the call.

This seems to have been happening for a little over a week. Anyone else having this issue?

Forgot to mention that this doesn't appear to impact regular android and I see no mention of it on the signal github issues page yet.

Same thing for me, when I answer the call from the lockscreen, call UI doesn’t appear and I have to unlock the phone to set to loudspeaker or even end the call.. it’s very frustrating

Probably a signal issue.

I always see a call when locked with: threema, google phone, AOSP phone

I found that this is GOS fault. Signal is fine. I have two phones with GOS.
v2026030700, after picked up the call, call is on, but I have to unlock screen in order to see video call, or end the call, or anything else.
v2026021200, the Signal don't disappear after call picked up. Works as expected.
