Latest beta release makes most app crash

Hi, first post. Got the latest beta release a few days ago and now most of my apps crash on startup. This includes outlook, proton mail, todoist, NY times, and Venmo.

How can I either roll back to the latest stable release or when will the next release happen?

jblaya I'm on the alpha channel and I'm not experiencing this issue at all.

Also other than reflashing the device from scratch and wiping data you can't roll back as the OS has downgrade attack protection. We aren't seeing multiple reports of the issue in our Testing Room over on [Matrix] here: https://matrix.to/#/#community:grapheneos.org

You could try going to each of those apps and clearing cache, if that doesn't work go to recovery and clear cache there.

Also are these apps using sandboxed play services by any chance? You haven't update Play Services via any other channel other than the 'Apps' app have you?

Thanks MetropleX I tried clearing the cache and reinstalling a couple of the apps and they are still crashing.

I have installed the sandboxed play services, but only updated them through the Apps app.

On the recovery mode menu, I don't see clearing cache. These are the options I see, should there be a clear cache there b/c I know I saw it in the standard rom.

jblaya it is under wipe data and also one more question, you haven't revoked play services network permission have you?

MetropleX I had removed network access and that resolved the problem. But if play services has network access doesn't that provide a bunch of my data to Google?

MetropleX just initialized. Good point that it will put my data in there but mixed in with everyone else's, right?

jblaya right the only data they would get then realistically is anything you are putting in Google apps themselves, possibly the apps in the same profile and an IP address. This issue is being resolved btw in the next release.
