Hello, this question is firstly, anyone know of a good keyboard on FDroid or something that allows tyling of special characters only found in Pashto ans not in Persian, Urdu, or Arabic? Letters such as ښ or ګ for example. but this brings me to a question of how easy it ia to make custom keyboards for grapheneOS, I would like one that has ǫ among others.
Pashto Keyboard, and custom keyboards generally
dukhy-v-integrale I use AnySoftKeyboard (available in Google Play and F-Droid) happily for many years, but I don't know how it supports mentioned languages, but there are plugins for so many languages for it (installable separately) that it might just work for you.
I saw no issues using this keyboard with GrapheneOS.
I use Microsoft SwiftKey without network permission. It works very well. My opinion is that it has better autocorrect/complete than gboard.
OpenBoard

I doubt any user here would know the exact answer to your question, but your best option is to just install a few of the keyboards and see which one's have the right language and chars. If FOSS keyboards fail for you then you can try google or microsoft keyboards as a last resort. They will likely have what you want.
For FOSS try:
- OpenBoard
- FlorisBoard
else try:
- Microsoft SwiftKey
- Gboard
Hi all, thank you so much for your replies! I have tried all of the FOSS suggestions, and I don't really want to use Microsoft or Google options, unless I can be very sure that my data won't be being collected. I have decided to try and design my own custom language options. Does anyone know where within the /system/ directory the necessary keyboard files I would need are located?
If you could add your dictionary to Open board that would be perfect.
