Erratic location behaviour in OsmAnd

Its really weird. My location keeps jumping between multiple places, and flashing "on" and "off", like it is detecting my location (blue) and then not picking up my location (grey). The location in use indicator is shown, so I know its pulling by location. Toggling on and off location doesn't help, nor does rebooting.

nandohyphen1 have you tested this with any other app that provides GPS location, such as CoMaps for example?

gMan Yes. CoMaps doesn't get my location, but Magic Earth does

nandohyphen1 in Settings > Location, what is SUPL and PSDS set to? Also, in location services, do you have network location enabled? If so, do you also have Wi-Fi scanning enabled? Network location has some privacy implications but it can help get a faster location lock or even be able to get a location indoors.

soupslurpr turning it off, it seems to work better actually! I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes

nandohyphen1 I also got the impression that this made the Gps-lock faster. It shouldn't work indoors though.

Novalissoide it should actually be faster with it on, but you might have to turn SUPL off.

nandohyphen1 can you also try network location on but SUPL off?

soupslurpr OK, tried it. It worked normally. It has also been working normally now with SUPL on. Idk what the problem was in the first place.

I'm not sure, but have only PSDS ON, and the fix outdoors is always close to instantainious. Like it would'nt go the network route at all, skipping that step and this saves a couple of seconds?

nandohyphen1 Okay, that's good. Maybe some GNSS interference for whatever reason or random bug.

Novalissoide it's unclear why, but in my tests the fastest speed was with SUPL off, PSDS on, and network location on. SUPL on, PSDS on, network location on or off was slower.
