Unable to fetch the list of apps

Hello GOS devs,

I would like to let you know that just now my phone (pixel 6) showed a notification saying:

Unable to fetch the list of apps

Unable to resolve the server name.
Details: java.net.UnknownHostException: Unable to resolve host
" apps.grapheneos.org": No address associated with hostname

I have not seen this notification before. Also, I am connected to the net 24/7, my connection is up and running. Maybe the problem is on your end, maybe it was just a hickup in the connection.

Any idea what could usually be the cause of this message?

From yesterday, I have the same problem. Also my app Signal is draining battery. It drains about 30 percentage of the battery. Anybody help?!

Do you have a VPN going? Confirm that "Apps" has the network permission please.

matchboxbananasynergy I do not use VPN services. And 'APPS' has network permissions. So far, I have not seen this message again.

Mine doing this as well. I do have a VPN going and Apps does have network permission.

The same problem on my side yesterday and today. Apps have network permission and I am using VPN.

I saw that message, but everything is working now.

I continuously get this notification as well. Been getting it for weeks now. Been using ReThink DNS app.

I get this since mounth 'Connection to the server has timed out'.

One or two times a day. Updates work in between.

No VPN. Just wlan & 4G. Is there any solution?
