GMS Compat running in background

Kinda new here. Pretty sure this is normal, but might I know why?

I see the notification at the very bottom of my notification center, it says 1 app running in background. Taping on it show the app is GMS compat. It has unrestricted battery permission as well. can i disable it?

And this post by @treequell is extremely helpful;

GmsCompat is the compatibility layer developed by GrapheneOS that teaches Google Play Services to work within the normal app sandbox. It is a system app and its permissions should not be changed. If you don't have Google Play Services installed, then GmsCompat does not do anything. If Google Play Services are installed, then GmsCompat needs to run all the time.
