Byteang3l The duress PIN was entered, and the wipe didn’t execute. After that, the device ended up in the hands of Belgian authorities, and they were able to access the data. That doesn’t mean they “cracked” it in the sense of breaking modern encryption it means that the data was accessible because the wipe that should have protected it didn’t happen.
Nothing was left unlocked, nothing was shared, and the bootloader was locked. The point I’ve been trying to explain is that the duress action did not function as expected, and the end result is that the contents of the device were reachable afterward. That’s the only claim I’m making.
I’m not speculating about how they accessed it internally
I’m only stating that the data was clearly recovered, and the only logical explanation on my side is that the wipe never triggered even though the duress PIN was entered. That’s the situation I’m describing.
