  • Any way to backup to commercial cloud (e.g. b2 backblaze)

I can't find a way to make regular backups to google drive. I assume SeedVault which comes out of the box in grapheneos is secure enough for me to send it without worrying that anyone will see its contents.

However, how do you set up regular backups?

I've looked at Syncthing - no such feature

I've tried RCX - no regular backups :(

SeedVault only supports NextCloud

Termux and rclone...?

Hey there! Seedvault is indeed not ideal right now for multiple reasons, including reliability and usability. The team plans to completely replace it with a solution that will improve a lot what's being offered today.

One of those improvements will be proper SAF (Storage Access Framework) support, so any cloud service that has file manager integration will work with it, instead of just the NextCloud support that Seedvault has.

I understand this doesn't help you today, but I thought I'd provide some context on what's coming eventually.

Glad to hear that, no worries. I'm looking forward to see Seedvault develop in this direction. For the moment I think that SyncThing will serve as a backup with one of the PCs used as a "hop to the cloud".
