This was a great update on a Pixel 9 Pro. Makes the phone feel new. Everything is faster, more fluid. Really nice update. Thanks for all the hard work pulling this together.

SIGSEGV the solution that works for me: in the secondary profile you are logged into, clear the storage for the SMS app and then open it. It will load messages again including the newest one that you couldn't see previously.

Overall, really liking the update on my P6a but I have one major problem. Don't know if its a coincidence but location services don't appear to be working on any of my apps since the update. Location services are switched on in settings and apps have the relevant permissions but don't get GPS data. There seem to be new options under location services I haven't seen before (Wi-Fi scanning, Bluetooth scanning, Network location, Geocoder) all set to off.

CaptainPlanet no problem with my 6a with location. All settings you mention are off also.

CaptainPlanet I've just started having the same problem as well with apps that require location services under my sandboxed user. Using a Pixel 7.

Is charge limit to 80% broken in this release? Although the option is enabled and the information is displayed on the lock screen, the battery charges to 100% (checked twice).

On the other hand I've got the impression that auto brightness works better now?

Update on my battery situation. I ended up enabling Security Preview Releases, since I never did when they first came out. Enabling that seems to have fixed the battery problem. Is it a coincidence? Who knows, but my phone charges normally again anyway so thats all I care about. :) Shout out to @brookie229 and @Panda-na for the suggestions to try. I've given your ideas a try and its all working again. :)

I am using Shelter (work profile). There is an issue with the app drawer: search bar is too far down, buttons are squeezed - take a look at the screenshot. Before the update (before UI updates) it was OK.

raqall well, if you use SystemUI Tuner, it follows that you've manipulated your phone using Adb, and/or Shizuku.

raqall that app and many of the like does some things with UI resources that might not 'reset to stock'. You should factory reset your device, fresh install OS, not use Adb, Shizuku or even Developer options. Then you could come back and complain about the search bar being too far down.

I found an alternative solution: I disabled the System Update Service after the last stable release in early November. Since then, I haven’t experienced any issues - neither with the new UI nor with other bugs. This is my kind of security release - secure from bugs, secure from headaches, for the best user experience.
