I was also alarmed when I saw the way things looked after updating. The previous status bar looked much sleeker and refined. Now the icons look like something from a Fisher Price toy.

Did you save the kernel crash logs? They might be useful if any developer wants to investigate this.

I still have them though I now have 12 hours more logs, so I'd have to export the whole thing and work out which bit is relevant.

Long press on the home screen
Select Wallpaper and style
Swipe to the Lock Screen section
Tap on Clock
A preview of your lock screen will appear. Tapping on either the left or right side causes settings to crash.

Open Settings
Navigate to Display
Always-on display shows a submenu arrow (>) but contains no options when opened. The same issue occurs with Adaptive brightness.

Layout options are supposed to be Small/Medium/Large/XL instead of 5x5/4x5/4x4/3x3

This update is the best.
Visual theme is very nice. In many ways, for example colourful icons in the Settings helps a lot.
Battery live is extended on my P9XLpro.
And crazy discharges I was experiencing during last few months caused by something inside "System Apps" has been fixed with the release before and is not back with this one.
Congratulations to the Graphene OS team!

Anyone experiencing charging issues since updating? When plugged in my phone charges for a few minutes and then just says connected, but not charging. I have to unplug it and then plug it back in over and over just to be able to charge my phone

When I go to the privacy and security page in settings, the message stays "checking device settings..." and doesn't change. I also can't tap the 'Scan device' button; it's faded like it's already been pressed.

Harambe it's not going to happen. The majority of the UI is controlled by upstream AOSP (aka Google). You will survive.

The battery life on my pixel 9A is AMAZING after this update. I would say the battery drains 30%-40% slower when screen is off.

As a hardcore user that does all the work from phone, I can't take people saying "the 'new' UI is confusing" seriously. That's quite literally a slight update to the shapes of buttons and color sorting in settings. Almost no new features nor change in their locations.

The font situation will be fixed sooner or later: it's definitely not the first time we see inconsistency throughout versions.

Tandara Pixel 6a, using a USB C to USB A charger. I've tried three different cords, with the same result. I have the USB C to USB C charger that the phone came with, but I've never bought a block specifically for it, although I'm thinking about it

Yep, USB port is set to 'On'. I wonder if its the cables. I have an adapter for headphones and it also has a charger end in case I want to charge my phone and listen to music at the same time. But when I plug the charger into the adapter and the adapter into my phone, it says 'Charging Rapidly' (like its acting like a fast charger would) and I have no problems that way

I have a 6a and charging is normal. Probably your cable(s) or perhaps a case is preventing proper connection?

nandohyphen1 Use a narrow toothpick made of plastic or wood. Scrape the inside of the USB-C port on your phone. If there is lint or other debris, it makes the connection weaker or non functional. Lots of people get surprised that there is a buildup of lint. I remove lint every other month, it's necessary.

nandohyphen1 Ugh, battery problems are back. :( It charges for about 2-3 minutes and then stops. Under Battery in Settings or on the lock screen it says 'Check Charging Accessory'. I've tried different cables (USB C to USB A and USB C to USB C), cleaned the port, tried different USB port settings in Exploit Protection, but nothing works. :-/

I think earlier in the thread (nandohyphen1) you had written that plugging the charger into "an adapter for headphones" and plugging that into the phone resulted in the phone charging. If now "nothing works", does that mean that the previously-working setup no longer works?

nandohyphen1 I know some of my friends with Pixel 6a's running GOS started having the exact same problems as me.

What if one of your friends plugs a 6a into the headphone adapter?
