Good to know, because I had the same issue, and for me it kept working on the 2nd profile, too.
My primary (Owner) Profile has not Google play services installed, so I had the same concern as 0xC0FFEE, that it will now longer work this way in the latest version.
I finally ended up de-installing the App and re-installing it, it now seems to be working again.
Before re-installing, I checked it the official way via Google play store in my other profile and sure enough the version ending with 153235.19 seems the latest/newest version that is officially offered for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Luckily, after re-installing it now works in both profiles again.
Ah: Clearing App Cache and App data I already had tried beforehand, that did not solve the issue for me.
