Novalissoide Flags + Expanded Dark mode were initially failing for two devices but appears to have eventually stuck.
Potentially related quirk from earlier: after editing the flags, the 'relaunch to update' would force close but fail @ relaunching, so I had to manually reopen the app. Perhaps the flag changes weren't truly locked in. With the successful attempt, the app managed to relaunch itself.
