SimpliSafe application

I've used SimpliSafe for a long time on custom ROM devices. However on A16 variant of Graphene on my Pixel 7 Pro it works but I cannot get it to post notifications. Can anyone offer any thoughts? Already enabled compatibility mode (turned off memory protection) and reset the application. No luck getting it to work. Thank you.

JimmyT a bit late but I had this exact same issue, except for me they worked for awhile before suddenly failing. The issue on my end was that the FCM token was invalid or corrupt and the app didn't have checks to validate the token on launch or after updates surprisingly enough, so the only way to fix it is a full uninstall and reinstall, anything that brings up the notification prompt. I actually ended up talking with their "innovation labs" department and we narrowed it down to the FCM token, which they said would be remedied in a future update. I guess it hasn't been fixed yet. For an app/service that people entrust their lives and the lives of their families to, it is quite frankly unacceptable to have notifications fail like this with no indication of said failure.

If you were using it on another device beforehand you may need to log out to get the notifications on your new device. You shouldn't need compatibility mode.

chester Will try that, but never had that issue previously as I used to leave it logged in on my work phone and my personal phone.

Having chosen SimpliSafe because it's not Amazon, ADT, Google, etc I've tolerated quite a bit. However, yes they do seem to be failing in several ways at this point. Thank you for the information! I've chose also for now to stop running Graphene. I do not feel that the security/reliability/usability balance is there at all yet. Tried it on Pixel 7 Pro with no added root etc and aside from SImpliSafe not working I've had a multitude of crashes (kernel, google play services, etc). Also could never get GPS based location services working and that is a big NO for me as I rely on it for work and travel. May try it on another device down the road, but for now I'll stick with e/OS as I know how to work with that system to protect what I need to protect. I'm also heavily considering Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max on the personal side as they have some awesome security features and knowing Apple, it's still usable. For busniess purposes I've already decided Apple devices fit the bill to keep me from losing money while protecting what needs protected. So long as I don't use their cloud offering I can protect my data pretty well.

JimmyT I understand, obviously I hope you come back to graphene someday, as a graphene user and all. But at the end of the day, do whatever works best for you, and if you're not against a dual device setup then that can be a good way to do things, iphone for day to day and graphene for anything sensitive. Best of luck with whatever you do though.
