Just started with GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6a and I have to verify my bank account on the secundary user account, where I have the Google services installed. When I fill in my password in the banking app, I have to fill in the code that I receive thru a textmessage (SMS in my country). I can not see the textmessage (sms) code and have to go to the message itself to see the code. But then the banking app closes and I have to start all over again. It is a loop. In my 'owner' account I see a preview of the text message. On the secundary user account it does not show a text message preview. How can I solve this? Thanks in advance, Maarten
Verify bank account on secondary user account texting
I have sms on my secundary user account. That is not the point. There is no possibility on my second account to preview the sms (sort of small drp down, so I can see the code), which is available n my primary account.
mbrs If you give Play Services the SMS permission, it should be able to autofill the code into the app for you, I believe.
That sounds like a solution. I'll give that a try. Thanks!
mbrs Let us know how it goes!
Does this allow google access to all your texts?

SMS: Access incoming and send outgoing text messages.
For now it does not work yet. My banking app does not recognise my phone number. Perhaps that is another problem, but I earlier did manage to login thru confirming on the former phone. But this one is now disconnected.
Just to let you know where I am. Still the banking app is missing my phone number. When I go to the eSim card on my phone, there it states: Phone number not available. I am now working on that with my provider.

mbrs unless you can prevent the banking app force restarting itself via the use of Battery Exception for example the only short term resolution I can see would be to place your SIM in another device while you receive the SMS OTP.
I understand what you mean in that the notification you get from the stock messaging app does not display a text preview but just informs you, you have a message. I haven't encountered this issue as I was able to use the multi tasking pane to swap in and out of Messaging without it closing on me.
Still unsuccessful. The problem is my N26 bank account does not recognise my phone number, when I try to login, to pair the phone with my bank account on my secundary User. I do get a verification sms (AUTHMSG) with the code. The banking app then says: the phone number is not found. I have all google services (2) and play store (sandboxed) installed. When I go to my settings and check my eSim (owner account), it says: Phone number on Sim: Not available. According to the bank helpdesk that could be the problem. I called my eSim provider and they advised me te reinstall the eSim en app. I did this (turning the Google services on) and nothing is changed. I think the first step is to get the phone number on the eSim, but I am curious what your thougts are? Perhaps anything else I can try?
Is it possible to put SMS app in the secondary profile?
d9780 Thanks allot! Can you download it from aurora?
No comes as part of the OS. The app called 'Messaging' with the black and white icon.
d9780 I was thinking, why not just use a my sudo number for SMS verification w MySudo app in the 2 nd profile?
Would that solve the problem? There's more privacy not giving out your real number anyway.........
I don't use mySudo so can't elaborate as to how it handles SMS to a mySudo number.
I am at a point to give up. My esim provider advised me to remove all downloaded esims. I thougt I was succesfull yesterday, but the number on the esim is not available. Yes I can be called and I can call. My banking app does not see the phone number and that probably has to do with the number not showing on the esim. I today tried to remove the esim again, to install it again. Now it says: "can not remove the esim. because of an error we can not remove the esim. Restart your phone and try again." I did that and the message stays. I am getting frustrated.
The bank provider now has reset my bankaccount, so I can verify myself again on the phone itselve. This might work. Bu=t now I am stuck in the sms verification again. I can not preview the SMS. I did give google services access to the sms as suggested.
